Buddhist Education and Social Development Centre, Nepal (BESDEC/Nepal) is a non-governmental, non -political and non- profitable social organization. Various professionals and social activities established it in 2003 in Kathmandu. The prime theme of the organization is “Development for Peace". The organization is concerned with the upliftment of Buddhist Education as well social development activities in the prison, rural, and urban communities of the country. Similarly, BESDEC/Nepal is devoted in creating the mental peace to the prisoners, support helpless, as well as to promote health, educational, environmental and economic status of different communities in Nepal through the norms and values of Buddhism.
BESDEC/Nepal has been working since its establishment period in the wave of mental support, health improvement, and environment conservation education promotion.
..BESDEC/Nepal's third Free Eye camp at Nala, Village, Banepa, Kavre ::
On the request of Siddhartha University, Nala, a one-day free eye camp was organized at Chandeshwori High school at Nala, Kavre under the technical support from Tilganga Eye Hospital on March 01, 2005. More than 615 village patients were benefited and 100 free spectacles were distributed. Among them 28 patients had cataract and free operations were done for them at Phulari Gumaba on 2005 6 April BESDEC/Nepal and Leo- Club of pashupati Nath helped for the camp. BESDEC/Nepal's fully co-ordinate and managed.

..BESDEC/Nepal distributed furnitures and books to Dhulikhel Jail ::
Under the library support program, BESDEC/Nepal distributed furnitures, different disciplinary, dharma and miscellaneous books to the Dhulikhel Jail. Furnitures were provided by Room To Read Nepal and books were collected from various bookshops of Kathmandu valley.

...BESDEC/ Nepal assistance on the Establishment of life size sculpture of Lord Buddha at the R A Premises of Bhadra Bandi Jail, Tripureswor Kathmandu ::
BESDEC/Nepal assisted to establish a life size sculpture of "Lord Buddha" inside the premises of Bhadrabandi Jail premise. The main aim for the assistance of establishment of sculpture was to spiritually encourage the jail inmates, so, that they can serve the nation and have a better life after the completion of sentence.
